The Sodexo Board of Directors is engaged on a Digital Transformation journey to reduce communications and collaboration costs, drive user best practice, enhance security and ensure license compliancy. At its heart is a Cloud First strategy that will see the company transition to innovative and cost-effective cloud solutions globally.
In 2015, the Sodexo Global IS&T Team awarded iPortalis a Master Services Agreement to assist with cost savings and efficiencies while the organization transitions to Cloud-based services and communications.
As well as driving savings in unified communication and collaboration costs, the Agreement focused on the delivery of centrally-brokered global buying contracts, as well as license management, and IT billing services.
The aim was to enable local entities to buy services extremely competitively – with all Sodexo subsidiaries able to buy ICT products and services at the same price, regardless of their size or location – and receive a monthly (or quarterly) invoice in their local language and currency of choice (with local sales tax and withholding tax management handled by iPortalis).
To achieve these objectives, Sodexo adopted the iPortalis Control Portal (iCP), a self-service cloud management and billing portal, to manage its IT services portfolio. Using the iCP, Sodexo will be able to rapidly provision all subscription-based products and self-manage supplier contracts, licenses, pric-ing, billing and reporting. The iCP will aggregate multiple ICT services for Sodexo, providing a single interface for administrators when provisioning and managing new services.
